Barbel--Bream--Catfish--Carp--Chub--Perch--Pike--Sturgeon--Tench--Trout--Sea Fish

Mark Stannard with his PB river pike of 25lb 8oz

Mark caught this cracking fish at 7.30am on a foggy November morning whilst fishing on the Rowing Club stretch of the River Wye at Hereford.
Mark used a wobbled dead-bait roach of about 6oz when he saw a flash of green and knew he was into a nice fish.
It took him over 15 minutes to land this monster on 10lb Fox Steel main line, Diawa Dictator rod and Shimano 8000GTE.
This beats his previous personal best of 22lb 12oz which was caught on the next peg down only a week before.

Mark reckons that the Hereford River Wye is the best pike fishing in the country and would be a great place to hold pike competitions.
