Whilst fishing on the Oxford Canal just south of Napton near Marston Doles on the 9th September, just before dusk, I caught this 12 lb Barbel.

Bait was nice and spicy luncheon meat, on a hair rigged Raptor no.6, stiff rig with a 6 inch trace and 2.5 ounce lead on an 8 lb main line.

An hour later on the same session I also took a 14lb common carp to the same set up.

Shows what fun you can have on a Canal Boat holiday!
