First barbel session for Glyn proves a success!

Here's match-fisher Glyn Williams holding a 9lb 2oz Barbel - caught from the flooded River Derwent.
Glyn used a 2.5lb test curve rod with 8lb line direct to a size 6 hook and three pellets as bait.

It's not a bad catch for his first barbel adventure with expert Julian Taylor (NFA Angling Development Manager).
