Easy
Feeder for pole fishing produced by J.D.S. Products
When
I visited the Go Fishing Show at the beginning of April - I spotted
this nifty little pole feeder system - and thought to myself - what
a good idea!
Chatting to the inventor Jeffrey Darlington - he explained just how
the system works - and to be
honest
- I was very impressed! (You've got to remember - here at the AnglersTimes,
we tell it like it is... if it don't work - we say so).
Pictured left is Go Fishing visitor Ashley Holland with Jeffrey Darlington
explaining how to use the feeder system.
Jeffrey very kindly gave me a couple of feeders to try for myself,
but for a change - and to do something different - I thought I would
see what the angler on the bank thought of the 'Easy Feeder.'
So later in the week I went to my local fishery to find out what the
general opinion was - from the hardened, seen-it-all Derbyshire anglers.
I soon found a likely candidate in Mick Coates, a very competent pole
angler and ex Mercury
Matchman
- he would give me an unbiased, honest opinion and he had enough angling
experience to pass judgement on the feeder system.
The Easy Feeder is very simple to use, you just slip the rubber sleeve
on to the pole tip and then pass the connecting clip over it - easy
peasy!
The connecting clip has a stonfo connecter - so connecting the feeder
is as easy as fitting a rig - just slide the stonfo open, pass the
loop of mono over it - then slide the stonfo back into position -
easy, quick and fool-proof! See the picture on the below.
With the connectors in place, Mick shipped out his Shimano Technium
pole with the feeder attached and was impressed with it from the start!

'It's easy to fill, you can't spill any bait from it - and it opens
exactly where you want it to' where his first comments.
'It looks like it will fit any pole - so you don't have to have a
specialised cupping kit' was his second comment...'Hey this IS a clever
design and it's very accurate!' were his final words as he 'positioned'
some maggots into his swim. I think he was impressed.
Leaving Mick to carry on fishing, I drove back to the office thinking
how this simple design could improve everyone's pole fishing and not
break the bank.
Universal fitting, no bait loss while shipping out - quick, simple
- and it works. What more do you want?
There's two sizes of feeder, the largest costs £5.50 and the
smaller one just £3.99.

Good fishing to you all
