Sue wins again!

I Bolsover-based fly-fisher Susan Sissons has continued her successful association with the England Ladies Team by winning the Rivers National Competition recently on the river Wharfe at Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire.

Winning her morning session and coming second in the afternoon gave Susan a clear victory and should confirm her place in the team to fish the European championships to be fished in Norway in 2007.

This victory is the icing on top of the fact she had already qualified to fish for the Loch Style Team in 2007 on Grafham Water (Reservoir fishing from boats).

Susan has also just returned from the Commonwealth Championships in Wales, fishing the river Dee and Llyn Brenig where she came 12th overall, a great performance against some of the best anglers from around the commonwealth, mainly male anglers. This is the best performance by a lady angler in such an event. Susan also caught the largest fish of the competition.
