Well another great fishing
week has been had a foremark with plenty of anglers catching their limits and
returning plenty as well. Fish up to 7lb have been taken this week and a good
rod average of 4.5.
Bank anglers are still catching some good bags of fish mainly on floaters and
Black Buzzers with small Damsels on the point. Hot spots for the bank anglers
have been Fishing Pontoon, sailing club jetty, Verduns point and down the Cavers
Arm with the odd angler taking fish outside the lodge as the fish are feeding
hard on the small fry.
Boat anglers have been saying that they have never seen so many fish rise on a
water before with the fish now hard on the feed well up in the water if the conditions
are right.
Si Owens and Dave Ledger of Derby showed how many fish you can catch when you
fish high in the water, Si took 16 fish all on a Midge Tip with Nymphs and Dave
took 15 half on a Cat Booby on a intermediate and the rest on a floater. The lads
were drifting all day, starting the drift outside the lodge and going all the
way to Hut Point or to the Middle of the Res.
Rens Delrosso also of Derby had a awesome day in the boat taking 10 fish with
his boat Partner Johnathan Tomlinson up to 7lb 12oz. They were fishing outside
the lodge on Di7's with white Minkie Boobies to catch the fish. Rens killed 3
fish and weighed them in for an unbelievable 17lb 8oz. The fishing is great at
the moment with the fish well spread and willing to rise so get up here and give
it a go.
