REPORT
Well that is it for another season here at Carsington Water. I hope that all of you who fished with us this year enjoyed your time at Carsington and I hope that you have enjoyed these reports and maybe even found them to be of some use to you as well!.
The weather was kind to us for our final week with light winds from the S/ SW and mild temperatures for the time of year. There was good cloud cover for most of the week and the water temperature has crept down to 14 degrees.
Phil Harding Claims the last best rainbow of the season, a stunning fish that tipped the scales at 5lb 2oz. Phil also had another excellent rainbow weighing 4lb 3oz in his bag. Both of these superb trout fell to an orange booby fished on an Intermediate line whilst drifting out across the middle of the main basin.
The final best brown goes to Tony Curtis who landed a cracking grown brown of 3lb 7oz. Tony’s trout fell to a fry lure fished on a medium sink line whilst drifting near to buoy 5 across the mouth of Fishtail Creek.
As I have already said that is it for another season, but keep you eyes on our web site: www.stwater.co.uk/carsingtonfishery for updates and news for the new season in 2008. Already we have plans to open up Millfileds Bay to the boats; we are also planning to expand the fleet of boats and will continue to improve the stocking policy for next year. Our opening day next year will be Saturday 22nd March, so remember to book early to avoid disappointment. The booking’s number is 01629 540 478 and the fishery office is 01629 540 769.
All that remains for me to say is, once again, thanks again to everyone who came to Carsington Water this season and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2008. I would also like to say a huge thanks very much to all the team who work so hard to make this fishery what it is.

Tight lines to all of you.

Top Spots this week have been anywhere across the Middle of the Reservoir Fishtail Creek, The Dam Wall and Stones Island in the Boats and Millfileds Point from the Bank.

Top Flies include: Orange Boobies, Fry Patterns, Diawl Bach, Bibio, Cats Whisker, Viva, Traditional Wets and Montana’s
