Shaun also won £200 in the match, with Malc Patterson coming second and Ian Bradly taking third place.

Ben Warner was a well known local fisherman, he invented lots of fishing equipment that later became available on the open market. In his heyday he manufactured and sold floats - 'Signaller and Toppa' - all over the British Isles. He was also featured several times within the angling press. Sadly he has now passed away, but would be proud of the way the Poolsbrook fishery has been developed.
