Perch Fishing
The Perch is the most distinctive of fish, with stripy flanks and a spiny dorsal fin. They feed in packs on small fish and can often be seen attacking fry in the margins on many stillwaters, canals and rivers. You can have great fun trying to catch them with small blade spinners and the last couple of hours of light is the best time. A good idea is to add a small piece of lobworm or a piece of red wool to the hook. Perch will nip at this thinking its a fish's tail
Perch love to hide under features like sunken trees. Fish the spinner slowly and steadily. Takes will hoop the rod right around Any Perch over 1lb is a beauty and would win you an "Improve your Coarse Fishing" Mission badge. Lets put him back.
