Nottingham News
AS the last few weeks have been a bit hectic, this week we are going
to try and catch up so apologies to those of you who have had to wait
(particularly Les Steedman) for delay in reporting match results, reports
and pictures.
So let’s start with the NJAA junior nationals held the week before
as covered in the additional feature last week.
The section winners in the junior events were Reece Nicholson and Joel
Potts with Sam Carr securing a creditable second in his section. When
you consider that Joel and Sam fish for the cadets team (under 12s)
it shows that the future of Worksop AA is secure.
In the intermediates, the winning team individually scored two section
wins for Gavin Tomlinson and Gavin Leversidge with Terry Foulds and
Mark Smith both securing fifth in their respective sections. Well done
to the four teams and a special thank you to team coach Glenn Foulds
for organising the event.
Next a reminder to all the youngsters who have registered for the Guardian
Junior Angling fishing day at Riverside Fishery at Scrooby this coming
Thursday. Can you all ensure that you are at the venue between 9am and
9.30am. Fishery rules are that no barbed hooks can be used and it is
riverside only feed pellets, although you are able to use your own hook
pellet.

ward charity match to be held at The Lakeside complex on 4th November.
Tickets are £12 all in with £4 going to the charities and
£6 pools and £2 pegging. We are also running a charity raffle
