THE annual Grafton AA junior match took place last Friday – and what a result from the youngsters.
Young Chelsey Jeffcoate of Worksop DAA cadets showed how it should be done, with a top weight on the evening of 7.5 kilos of chub and roach, employing worm and caster off peg 121.
This would be a creditable net in any club match, but considering that this was a three hour sprint it was a real achievement.
This was not an isolated catch and there were some impressive back-up weights from both age groups.
This event could not have been such a success without the dedication of the Grafton members who stewarded, particularly Mick Simpson and Thomas Hunt, who worked tirelessly throughout the evening.
Also thanks must go to joint sponsor of the event Ken Ward for his continuing generous support of this competition.

The draw will be held at 5pm at the activity centre and the lake and fishing will commence at 6pm until 8pm. Please note that if you do not have a Worksop book these are still available at any of the towns' three tackle dealers priced at a reasonable £5.
There will be the standard age grouping of 10 years to 12 years and under 16s.

All schools competing have now been sent final details of the event, but please note entry is only available through your school.
