Pole fished corn down the edge is also a worthwhile option but beware because this is where the venues proper lumps patrol so beef up your tackle accordingly.
Also the pellet waggler fished up in the water with either punched meat or a pellet hook bait is scorning in competition nets in excess of 70lb with hair rigged cat meat fished on the bomb also worth a cast if you have any features in your swim.

On the top pond the better fish are moving up to higher up in the water and are falling to waggler fished caster and maggot shallow and on Lily and Long islands Bill informs us that pole fished pellet and caster shallow is accounting for good nets but do not ignore the margins later on.
