Let’s get behind North Notts Show
This
week I received a letter from Kilton pre-school who are the main organisers,
and charity, for the North Notts show.
The school is working its socks off to get the event off the ground and
is slightly perturbed at the lack of interest, as yet, from Worksop based
angling traders.
As you may be aware, I have been trying to do my bit with attracting guest
speakers and celebrities from the coarse and game fraternities to boost
attendances.
In the same department, Worksop and District Anglers’ Association’s
Derek Brown has also offered his own services in helping to arrange guests.
All stands are free of charge and Derek has kindly offered to occupy one
or two.
To date only Go Baits of Langold have signed up for the show.
I understand that local dealers may suffer with staffing problems but
I appeal to their better natures to help make the first ever North Notts
Angling Show a roaring success.
You never know lads, you may even sell a bit more kit than normal!

next match is at Holme Marsh on Sunday 12th September.

Go Baits Open matches are held at Langold Lake every Sunday up to the
end of September 2004.
Draw takes place at 9am and fishing is from 10am-4pm.
Midweek matches are also still taking place every Wednesday with the draw
being made at 5pm and fishing from 6-9pm. Cost is £10 all in.

Organisers of the North Notts Angling Show, due to be held on Saturday
16th October, are asking for all local anglers to be sure of placing the
date in their diaries.
The event is taking shape and looks to be a great day out, all in the
aid of charity and, great publicity for angling.
They are also looking for help in distributing posters to local and national
fisheries to help get the message around.
Those who are able to assist will get concessionary entry on the day.
