Tacklefest is back in Peterborough
One of Britains favourite family fishing shows returns once again
to the Nene Embankment on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2004.
Following last years hugely successful Tacklefest weekend, the east
of Englands premier fishing tackle sale will once again take place
on the Nene Embankment from 9.30am to 5pm each day.
Promising huge bargains and fun activities for the whole family, Tacklefest
will, for the fourth year running, take place alongside the Angling Times
Team Championships final.
Fresh from his appearance at the Angling Times Go Fishing Show, top TV
celebrity Matt Hayes will return to give live demonstrations.
Matt will be available for questions from keen anglers who require tips
and advice over the course of the whole weekend.
Also at the show, Bob Nudd - one of Britains best and most recognisable
anglers - will be giving live demonstrations and advice over the two days.
Peterborough AA will also be available for free coaching on Saturday 3rd
- the perfect opportunity to introduce your youngsters to the sport.
Visitors can take advantage of the many retailers at the show and pick
up a whole host of bargains.
There will also be a range of competitions to enter with some great prizes
on offer.
Show manager Carl Taylor said: We hope that visitors will find the
event even more enjoyable as we have taken features from the Angling Times
Go Fishing Show and incorporated them in this show for the benefit of
all the local visitors who return to Tacklefest every year.
The Angling Times Team Championships Final will be held on the Sunday
on the Nene Embankment.
Angling Times editor Richard Lee said Each year we get the top anglers
in the country competing and it looks like this year will be no exception.
Those who visit really can look forward to a rivetting final.
Dont forget that WDAA are competing at this showpiece final and
I'm sure they would welcome some local support.
Tacklefest 2004 is located next to the Key Theatre and is five minutes
walk from Queensgate Shopping Centre.
Entrance is £5 for adults, £4 for senior citizens, £3
for children under 12 and free for under fives. As with previous years,
