Catch up with the latest angling news and dates

The Witham and District Joint Anglers Federation (to whom all Worksop and District book holders are members) will be staging an open event at the White Horse Inn section of the River Witham at Dunston Fen on Sunday 3rd March.

The match is being organised to support an open day at the venue where the landlord of the pub will be displaying two brand new all purpose static caravans (a four berth and a sixth berth) purchased solely for angling holidays.

For the benefit of the pessimists amongst you, this section of the river is one of the very few locations that has been producing fish all season.

Double figure weights are being caught on a regular basis by the resident caravanners with big bream, tench and carp providing the bulk of the catches, backed up with a lot of small roach and skimmers.

The entry fee is £10 with a £5 optional pool for those wishing to speculate a little bit more cash.
All entry fees are to be paid back in individual and section prizes. Further information can be obtained from Glyn Williams on 01909 474940.
