Pocklington Canal

Pocklington Canal is a very peaceful area and does get a few anglers, but mainly on a weekend.

When we went to feature the water there was no-one fishing but there were two people from the National Rivers Authority on site and they said it has plenty of fish in, mainly small silver fish but also a few very large carp. The baits to use are maggot, sweetcorn and caster for best results.

If you have fished this stretch or fish it in the near future, please let Gone Fishing With Fred know how you got on. It is also popular for picnics and also makes a nice walk.
