"Out and about with Jamie Alexander"
At the EMCSG Annual Winter Meet

Andy Giggs - committee member; John Phillips - Chairman; Martin Clark - guest speaker; Richard Poole - treasurer; Jamie Alexander - committee member.

The East Midlands Carp Study Group is now into its third year, although not without its teething problems, the EMCSG is going from strength to strength.

The whole point of the EMCSG is to create a point of contact for like-minded carp anglers of all calibres and ages, throughout the East Midlands with a view to providing functions of an angling and social nature, to learn, meet, and experience everything and everyone that comes with the most popular type of angling in modern times, everybody wants to catch carp, nothing comes more beautiful, bigger or mystical than the carp.

The EMCSG has played host to some of the country's leading carpers: Jim Shelley, Ian Chilcott, Gary Bayes, Chris Ball, Archie Braddock (river carping), to name but a few, with repeat bookings and new bookings with some serious foreign carpers that will hopefully be added to the guest list at some point in the near future.

At every meet there is the now famous EMCSG raffle, which gives away the most prizes that any raffle could possibly give, bivvies, bedchairs, bait & tackle galore, plus several holidays to France, fishing for the biggest carp at the biggest venues.
There's also a bar for all those who aren't driving!

The EMCSG provides several fish-ins throughout the summer held at good midland waters that hold 30lb+ fish.

Plus the excellent" junior fish in" that is solely and purposely intended for the young uns to catch carp, there's also a barbeque and free goody bags are given to all juniors that attend these fish-ins.

We cannot forget the sponsorship and hospitality from many of the UK's tackle dealers and tackleshops, which include, Enterprise Tackle, Trakker, Fox, Dynamites Baits, Nash Baits, Daiwa, Armaled, Sticky Baits, Custom Baits, Planet Carp, Walkers Of Trowell, Jays Leads, Mick Earles Realtree World, Gerrys of Nottingham, Used Tackle in Hucknall to name but a few.

This club/group is going from strength to strength and will only get better, but remember it's you - the carpers - that make this group what it is, so don't delay… join today.

Our next meeting is on 7th January and the guest speaker will be Mitch Smith.

Cheers

JA.
