Bream Fishing

You can see by their down slung mouths that Bream feed on the bottom, disturbing natural food in the silt.
They graze in large shoals and are quite lazy preferring stillwaters, canals or very slow moving stretches of river

The best way to catch them is using a groundbait feeder with casters, chopped worms and maggots in the mix.
Cast to the same spot several times to lay down a bed of feed and fish maggot and worm cocktails on the hook.
Line clips aid accurate casting

You'll need a rod with a fine quivertip fished to one side.
When the Bream takes the bait, the tip will pull round-------time to strike.
They are not the best of fighters, but if you catch one, you'll probably catch several
