Sheffield angler publishes
second book

Keen South Yorkshire angler, Chris Keeling has published his second book, aptly named: Fish-It! : A Guide to Coarse Fishing in the Lincolnshire Area.

The book, which follows on from Fish-It! : 'A Guide to Coarse Fishing in the South Yorkshire Area' is a guide to the fishing lakes and ponds in and around Lincolnshire and contains photographs of most venues.

Chris said, "I have fished for many years in and around South Yorkshire and those who have seen my first book will know that my on going challenge is to land one of the huge carp at Loxley fishery! I don't have the same problem at my favourite Lincolnshire water, Sycamore Lakes just outside Skegness, where armed with a tin of sweet corn I regularly catch the large carp!"

Chris' new book contains all the relevant information you would need for a great day's fishing, including what species of fish can be caught at each water, maps, directions, parking details, ticket prices (if any), rules for that venue, cafe, camping sites, contact numbers and more.

With information on over 70 lakes, ponds, reservoirs, rivers and drains in the Boston, Gainsborough, Grantham, Grimsby, Lincoln, Scunthorpe, Skegness and Spalding areas, the 88-page A5 colour guide gives a variety of fishing venues for you to choose from.

Chris spent over a year locating places to fish within the Lincolnshire region for his book, which contains all the essential information needed for local anglers or those from further a field visiting the area.

Chris said, "I wanted to produce a book that gave a good idea of what a fishing venue has to offer before setting out on sometimes a lengthy journey only to be disappointed when you reach your destination. I hope that Fish-it! Lincolnshire is a useful guide to fishing enthusiasts in South Yorkshire who want to travel further a field and try different places to fish."

Chris' book is beautifully printed with all the relevant information a travelling angler needs. It's not possible to list all the fisheries in the huge area the book tries to cover, but if you manage to fish all the waters listed, you will have done very well indeed! It would make an ideal gift for any angler wanting to source new angling avenues.
