Lady Bay Bridge to Long Higgin

Bingham & District Angling Club's recent acquisition has increased their holding to seventy plus pegs downstream of Lady Bay Bridge. Since the start of the season match and pleasure weights have confirmed that the River Trent is back and providing good sport for those anglers who still enjoy fishing running waters with the best recorded 5 hour match weight so far of 62lbs.
Although match bookings have taken off on the original forty peg stretch just east of Nottingham and double figure nets of roach and perch have been commonplace for anglers using pole stick float and slider methods, seed baits proving popular during the late summer and autumn bream have also featured well this season with fish to 6lbs being taken on feeder tactics.
With this section of the river being quite deep averaging some three to four metres at two rod lengths out and a steady flow it is ideal for pole fishing to hand or stick float with a long rod.
Access to the water is quite easy from the playground car park off Holme Road or the Holme Grove car park at the downstream end.
The Lady Bay Bridge section has not been fished for sometime and the hope is that being a noted area for chub this will complement the down stream section.
A car park adjacent to peg one also means access to this section is very easy.
Main Species Roach Perch Chub Bream. Baits Maggot caster worm hemp and tares.

Day Tickets £2 and £1 concessions Membership £15 and £10
