Here's Stephan Cave from the Isle of Wight - with a British Record 19lb 12dr Bass.

Stephan tells us: 'On 24/11/07 at 11pm, I landed this bass which was officially weighed in at 19lb12dr at Scotties Tackle Shop in Sandown.'

'The fish was caught from Sandown pier using 20lb mainline and 18lb trace, made by myself ten mins. before I landed this monster.'
'I nearly lost my rod as it went flying toward the sea - and the fish took about three mins to get to dry land, but the first net we had to hand - was too small - so a young lad legged it to our hut and got the big drop net.'
'It took both my good friend Allan Beanie and myself to land it.'

'So far in two years we have had two double-figure bass from the Sandown pier, first was Allan Beenie with a 14lb bass, then Rob Bennett had a 11lb this year.'
